Oil Painter. Mixed Media. Art and Design.
Lisa is a Scotland-based internationally-selling artist.
She hails from the spooky depths of Ayrshire, Scotland and currently resides in Glasgow.
A little country girl in the big smoke, she was eager to follow her passion, albeit against the grain of the usual art-school education and general words of warning against being an artist in general.
Lisa had always expressed an aptitude for art, something that ran in the family;
Her gran was an artist. She was a wild, hilariously inappropriate, eccentric, creative powerhouse and she taught her grandaughter everything from her self-endured years at the easel. In Summer they would drive to old castles around Ayrshire, sit outside sketching them, or hole up in her gran's kitchen through the colder months with endless cups of tea, watercoloring their afternoons away, sketching fashion designs and runway clothing from magazines.
Lisa has a huge love of books and she currently studies Art History and Creative Writing. She loves poetry, and even sometimes writes it. Old world energy captivates her at every turn, historical buildings are a beacon of interest, old bespoke theatres offer a sense of escapism from reality and Mother Nature provides endless beauty as inspiration.
She comes from a coven of curiosity and harbours a thirst for knowledge and continuous learning, especially out-with the realms of the norm.

Lisa also finds fantastic influences for her artwork wherever she travels in the world and is particularly drawn to places seeped in rich, macabre, ancient history. She is continually drawn to where the lands are boldly adorned with architecturally stunning works of art; ancient castles, theaters, libraries, cathedrals, churches, basilicas and apothecaries.

In 2021, Lisa began studying an Art Mastery programme with the Milan Art Institute, a family of anti-art-school artists who stole her heart with their magnificent talent, wisdom and passion for what they do. Their rebellion against the traditional art school system really spoke to Lisa'a rebellious soul and this sealed the deal. Graduating in 2021, she now works for them as a coach and mentor to their existing students.

Usually found at her easel with a cup of coffee or a glass of red wine and a mysteriously tantalising podcast in her ears, Lisa works from her Glasgow studios, creating a constant flow of new artworks and commissioned work and teaching in-person art students on a one to one basis.
