Lisa is a Scotland-based internationally-selling artist.

She hails from the spooky depths of Ayrshire, Scotland and currently resides between Glasgow and Ayrshire.

A little country girl in the big smoke, she was eager to follow her passion, albeit against the grain of the usual art-school education. She keenly got an easel and some paints, began painting almost daily - and quickly ended up with a pretty painful, partially debilitating repetitive hand strain as a result.

She was off to a good start..

Actually her start was well before then!

Lisa had always expressed an aptitude for art, something that ran in the family;

Her gran was an artist. She was a wild, brilliantly inappropriate, eccentric, creative powerhouse and she taught her grandaughter everything she had learned from her self-taught years at the easel.  Together, they would pack a picnic, pencils and sketchpads and drive to old castles around Ayrshire, sit outside sketching them and then finish them at home with washes of watercolours, which was the first painting medium Lisa ever worked with.

Lisa has a love of history and books, poetry and the works of the old oil painting masters; of theatre and masquerade, music - thanks to her music-loving parents - Mother Nature and all things spooky, mysterious and unexplained.

She comes from a coven of curiosity and harbours a thirst for knowledge and continuous learning, especially out-with the realms of the norm.

Lisa also finds fantastic influences for her artwork wherever she travels in the world and is particularly drawn to places seeped in rich, macabre, ancient history. She is continually drawn to where the lands are boldly adorned with architecturally stunning works of art; ancient castles, theaters, libraries, cathedrals, churches, basilicas and apothecaries.

In 2021, Lisa began studying an Art Mastery programme with the Milan Art Institute, a family of anti-art-school artists who stole her heart with their magnificent talent, wisdom and passion for what they do. Their rebellion against the traditional art school system really spoke to Lisa'a rebellious soul and this sealed the deal for her. She then embarked upon a year-long course to push her artistic boundaries to the limit. Lisa graduated from this programme in 2023 and is now further equipped with more artistic knowledge than she could ever have dreamed of and her desire to paint, in a voice that solely fits her individual vibration, has never been stronger.

Usually found at her easel with a glass of red wine, Lisa has never adored her work more and hopes to release a new collection of works in near future. In the meantime, her shop is up and running and her commissions are currently open.
